Standard Stringers

They are made up of U-shaped galvanized sections
The height and thickness of the sections vary according to the required loading performance.
The stringers can be fitted onto the pedestal heads by way of slots on their extremities.

Dimensions

• 30/35/30 mm, thickness 1.5 mm - type 30/15
• 45/35/45 mm, thickness 1.5 mm - type 45/15
• 45/35/45 mm, thickness 2.0 mm - type 45/20

Locakable Stringers
They are made of galvanised steel section 30/32/30 mm and their thickness is 1.5 mm. They are designed to be located on standard or high pedestal heads.
The stringers provide rigidity to the understructure and stability against lateral loads.

Special stingers
When pedestals are omitted due to obstuctions, i.e. electrical services, air ducting, etc., special bridging stringers can be used.

Self-supporting installation
For this type of installation, the panels lay directly on the pedestal heads.
Whithout stringers, the access to under floor space is easier and quicker.
It is recommended that the pedestal only installation be used for access floors not exceeding a finished floor height of 500 mm.

Installation with stringers
For this type of installation the panels lay on metallic stringers.
This type of installation is used in the following cases:

• Finished floor heights above 500 mm
• Access floors without restraint or surrionding walls and subject to rolling loads.
• High uniform or concentrated loadings.
• Access floors with a great number of cut-outs.

In all these cases the stringers and pedestal heads have been designed to enable a quick installation and dismantling of the access floor.
