Introduction To Masterspec For Raised Access Flooring The following Masterspec document is intended to form the basis of a comprehensive specification for the application and use of raised access flooring. It is based on the NBS K41 specification as this document covers all the relevant specification aspects of raised access floor design and installation. It is not prescriptive with regard to any of the key attributes or specifications covering raised access floor design and installation. It does however draw on the experience of Kingspan Access Floors both in the UK and Europe. This Masterspec allows specifiers to work through the raised floor specification in a methodical manner that will cover all relevant aspects of raised access floor design and installation. Against each aspect of the specification there are notes. These notes outline the issues that need to be considered with regard to each aspect of the specification. Consequently by working through clause by clause a comprehensive project specific specification can be drawn up for a raised access flooring system. Prior to the Masterspec document enclosed is a checklist that
outlines the range of items that require to be considered as part of the process
of preparing a suitable raised access flooring specification.
